Natural House Cleaning in Keperra

Keperra is a suburb of renovated post-war homes, new builds on split blocks, and streets that run down toward Kedron Brook. Both types of home hold onto dust and carry real subtropical humidity, and that is exactly what our cleaning is built around.

We are Beyond Clean Living, a naturopath-led cleaning service for Brisbane's north-west, founded by Belinda Byrnes. We clean with fragrance-free, non-toxic products by default and we go after the corners standard cleaners skip.

In short

Yes, we clean homes across Keperra regularly. It is about 4km from our Gaythorne base, on the same Ferny Grove line, so it is a short, familiar run for our team.

You get a detail-obsessed clean using fragrance-free, non-toxic products: no harsh chemicals, no synthetic-fragrance haze left behind. We start with a one-off reset deep clean, then keep it that way weekly or fortnightly.

Every clean is overseen by founder and naturopath Belinda Byrnes, whose focus is a healthier home environment: less dust, fewer common household triggers, and mould risk flagged early.

House cleaning in Keperra

Keperra is an unusual mix for the north-west. Almost all of it is houses, and a big share of those are post-war homes that young families are either renovating or knocking down to build new. That means 2 very different cleaning jobs sit side by side on the same street: older timber and post-war homes with VJ walls, deep skirtings and high picture rails that trap decades of fine dust, and brand-new builds where fresh carpet, paint and cabinetry are still off-gassing.

Our natural house cleaning is built for both. In the older homes we work the details that hold dust: skirting boards, window tracks, the tops of door frames, ceiling fans and the corners up high and down low. In new builds we keep the whole home low-tox from day one, so you are not layering synthetic fragrance and harsh chemical residue over materials that are already giving off enough.

Close to home base in Gaythorne

Keperra is about 4km north-west of our Gaythorne base, 4 stations further out on the Ferny Grove line past Mitchelton and Grovely. It is core territory for us, not an edge-of-map favour, so you get a consistent, trained team rather than whoever is spare. Samford Road and the 2 rail stations make it an easy, reliable run, which is part of why we can hold set weekly and fortnightly slots here without the churn.

What's included in a Keperra clean

A maintenance clean covers the whole home to a consistent standard, not a quick surface pass. Typical inclusions:

  • Kitchens: benches, splashback, cooktop, exterior of appliances, sink and tapware, and floors
  • Bathrooms and ensuites: showers, screens, tiles, basins, toilets and floors, with an eye on early mould on grout and silicone
  • Bedrooms and living areas: dusting surfaces, skirtings, sills and fittings, then vacuum and mop through
  • The detail work: under beds, behind and beside furniture, high corners, ceiling fans, door tops and skirting lines
  • Fragrance-free, non-toxic products used throughout, so nothing lingers in the air after we leave

What standard cleaners skip

Commodity flat-rate services sell speed, and speed is exactly what leaves the dust behind. In Keperra's post-war and renovated homes, the places that matter most are the ones a fast clean never reaches:

  • Under beds and lounges, where dust and pet dander settle and get stirred back into the air
  • Skirting boards, architraves and the tops of door and window frames
  • High corners, cornices and ceiling fan blades that shed dust every time they spin
  • Window tracks and sills, and the gap behind freestanding furniture
  • Shower grout, silicone and seals, where surface mould starts before you notice it

This is the detail work most cleaners skip, and it is the difference between a home that looks clean and one that actually holds fewer triggers.

Natural, fragrance-free products

We clean fragrance-free and non-toxic by default, not as an add-on. That is a deliberate choice from founder Belinda Byrnes, a practising naturopath and mother of 2, whose clinical focus is eczema and skin conditions in families and children. The logic is simple: what you clean with is what your family then breathes and touches. Skipping harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrance helps reduce common household triggers like dust, pet dander and airborne irritants, which matters in homes with young kids or sensitive skin. Individual results vary.

Non-toxic and fragrance-free is our standard on every Keperra clean, not a premium extra you opt into. No harsh chemical smell, no perfumed haze left hanging in the house.

To be clear about scope: this is a cleaning service, not treatment. Belinda separately runs a naturopathy practice, and the cleaning work is complementary to, not a replacement for, advice from your doctor or specialist. Individual results vary. If you want the health lens applied directly to your home, that is what the Home Health Review is for.

The reset deep clean then ongoing upkeep

We start most Keperra homes with a one-off reset deep clean. This is the heavy lift that clears the built-up grime a rushed cleaner never got to: inside the detail, up in the high corners, into the tracks and grout lines. Once the home is genuinely reset, keeping it there is far easier.

From there we move to weekly or fortnightly maintenance, holding the standard instead of letting it slide back. Given how many Keperra streets run down toward Kedron Brook, the subtropical humidity is real, and a regular rhythm is the best way to stay ahead of dust load and early mould on bathroom seals and north-facing walls.

On mould: in a Home Health Review we flag mould risk and problem areas, and during cleaning we wipe back surface mould only where it is safe to do so. We are not remediators. Established or structural mould is a specialist's job, and we will tell you plainly when it is beyond a clean.

Keperra questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover all of Keperra, including the streets down near Kedron Brook and around the golf club?

Yes, the whole suburb. That includes the lower streets running toward Kedron Brook and the pockets around Keperra Country Golf Club and the Great Western Super Centre. Being close to the creek, those low-lying homes tend to carry more humidity, so we pay particular attention to bathrooms, wardrobes and south or shaded walls where mould risk is higher.

I am renovating an older Keperra post-war home. Can you clean around that?

Yes, this is common here given how many post-war homes are being renovated rather than replaced. Renovations throw fine dust deep into skirtings, tracks, high corners and cabinetry. Our reset deep clean is designed to pull all of that back out, and then a regular clean keeps it from rebuilding while the work continues.

We just moved into a new build in Keperra. Is a natural clean worth it if everything is already new?

Especially then. New carpet, paint, cabinetry and flooring can off-gas for months, so the last thing a new home needs is harsh chemical residue and synthetic fragrance layered on top. Cleaning fragrance-free and non-toxic from the start keeps a new build genuinely low-tox rather than just looking clean.

Is the naturopath side the same as getting treatment?

No, and we keep that clear. Beyond Clean Living is a cleaning service. Founder Belinda Byrnes is a naturopath and that lens shapes how we clean and what we notice, but a clean is not treatment for any condition and is complementary to, not a replacement for, advice from your doctor or specialist. The Home Health Review is an in-home assessment with a written report, not a medical service.
